Encouraging Note TAKEOVER
Well, this week’s encouraging note is a little unique.
Due to some prior engagements (a birthday vacation in Florida) Monica was unavailable to write today's encouraging note.
This news was depressing to me at first, as I realized hundreds of people would have just a little less joy on this beautiful Saturday morning.
After a few days of wallowing, I suddenly caught a burst of inspiration. I found the closest mirror, locked eyes with myself and said: ‘The show must go on. I, Dominic, will write the encouraging note.’
So, here goes:
For the past six months, I’ve lived with my parents and have had the privilege to work alongside my mom at The Work Well Group while also assisting with Crazy Grateful. And now, as some of you may know, I am set to leave for California in just one short week.
I could go on and on about how much my mom and I will miss each other (I think she’s still in denial :). But instead, I’d like to simply list a few things I’ll take away from this unique, bonding experience we’ve shared:
I’ve been impressed by her determination to continuously deliver content to the Crazy Grateful Community.
I’ve been inspired by her passion and knack for spreading joy (which is certainly easier said than done).
She’s taught me that doing something you love leads to a fulfilling life.
She’s taught me that some of life’s most precious moments happen in even the most ordinary of days.
I’m confident Crazy Grateful will continue to spark joy and bring encouragement.
I’m thankful for the added time we’ve spent together.
And if there’s one message to sum up all the things I’ve learned from my mom in 22 years, it’s that every day is a chance to create another memory with the people you love. And for that fact alone, I’m truly grateful.
Dominic
