I’ve been noticing some pretty awesome Halloween displays in yards around our town. Thank goodness for people who find JOY in providing a bit of haunted holiday cheer to others. And while I’m not a big lover of scary stuff and movies, I do love the reminder that Halloween brings to be a little more playful and a little less serious.
Halloween transformations can also be a good reminder that we can morph and change any time we feel the need. We don't have to wait for Halloween to change it up. I'm talking about small behavior changes that can make us feel alive in our day to day (because it would be pretty crazy to show up in costume on a random Tuesday in June).
This is your friendly reminder that you're never truly stuck. You always have a choice to bring out different sides of yourself, even when it feels uncomfortable at first. Whether you want to be more honest or assertive or affectionate or thoughtful or active or intentional or (___fill in the blank ___), all you have to do is start taking small actions today. Over time you'll look back and be able to see all of the progress you've made.
It may seem a little scary at first, but hey, Halloween teaches us how to tolerate fear too, right?
Have a BOO-tiful weekend!
