The Comfort of an AS-IS Weekend

This is the weekend for rest, but when is the last time you granted yourself permission to truly power down and be relaxed in body and mind

I’ve noticed that when I take time off, if I’m not aware of powering down my mental chatter, I’m really not relaxing at all. Instead, I’m exerting energy thinking about how things SHOULD be – I need more plans, I need less plans, I need to organize my house, I need to not worry so much, I need to (fill in the blank with how your mind churns here).

My goal over the next few days is to have an AS-IS weekend. I invite you to come along with me on a mission to be unusually OK with whatever IS.  There’s a beautiful weekend just waiting for us if we can get out of our heads and notice it.

Enjoy the simplicity of loving things exactly as they are.
